    Nuevas especies. Cultivo de especies de peces mediterráneos candidatas a la producción industrial. Se trabaja con el dentón, seriola, verrugato, atún rojo y bonito atlántico, para conseguir la reproducción en cautividad y el desarrollo de técnicas de producción de juveniles. Contaminación-Acuicultura. Estudio de los efectos y mecanismos de acción sobre la respuesta inmunitaria celular y la reproducción de dorada y lubina de contaminantes ambientales hormonales (disruptores endocrinos). Inmuno-Reproducción. Estudio de la interacción inmuno-reproductora a lo largo del ciclo vital, en condiciones de salud y frente a patógenos, especialmente los que forman estadios de resistencia y se transmiten a través de la gónada, para desarrollar métodos eficaces de diagnóstico y tratamientos que eviten la cronicidad de las infecciones y la transmisión vertical.     New species. The Group is dedicated to the research of the possibilities in marine fish farming of some potential interesting Mediterranean species. It¿s currently working with dentex, amberjack, shi drum, bluefin tuna and Atlantic bonito, to achieve the reproduction in captivity and develop techniques for juvenile production. Contamination-Aquaculture. The Group studies the effects and mechanisms of action of some environmental hormonal contaminants which act as endocrine disruptors, on the immune response and reproduction of seabream and seabass. Immuno-Reproduction. The Group investigates the immune-reproductive interaction of teleost under health or infection conditions with pathogens able to persist inside the gonad and be transmitted. Development of diagnostic methods and preventive treatments against those pathogens. Physiology, Nutrition, Feeding and Chronobiology.
