Scientific
journal dedicated to the marine sciences and oceanography in their
different branches: biology, ecology, geology, physics, chemistry, fishing,
aquaculture, and pollution. It features research articles, thematic
surveys, notes, monographs, and reports from symposia and conferences;
manuscripts may be submitted in either Spanish or English. Until 1997,
monographs and reports from symposia and conferences were published in the
series Publicaciones Especiales. From its origins in 1948 until 1992, the
series was titled Boletín del Instituto Español de Oceanografía.
