DATOS Y RESÚMENES. INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE OCEANOGRAFÍA

 

An occasional publication, not subjected to any peer review, presenting technical information supplied by personnel from the Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO), either alone or in collaboration with investigators from other institutes, and pertaining to different aspects of the marine sciences: biology, ecology, geology, physics, chemistry, fisheries, aquaculture and pollution.

Papers are accepted in Spanish or English.

 

The information presented has not been subjected to any peer review. Responsibility for its accuracy corresponds exclusively to the authors.

 

Procedures to follow for publishing in DATOS Y RESÚMENES

 

Send originals to the Deputy Director of Research of the IEO, indicating the number of copies to be published and the recipients list. The technical information contained in the originals need not all be in the same stage of elaboration. The manuscript should follow BOLETÍN. IEO norms.

The IEO's Coordination and Publications Department will print the same covers for all of the issues of the journal, which will be sent to the interested parties together with the publication's series number, a standard layout for the title page and the back of the title page, and copyright and NIPO.

Authors will lay out the title page and the back of the title page. The title page will include the following (in a single column):

 

- DATOS Y RESÚMENES                                           - Authors' addresses

- INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE OCEANOGRAFÍA                 - Issue number

- ISSN: 1135-8483                                                 - Number of pages

- Title                                                                   - Madrid, Spain and publication year

- Authors’ names

Only the title and the authors' names should show through the cutout in the cover. The copyright and the NIPO should be printed on the back of the title page.

The authors will be responsible for incorporating the essential corrections indicated to them, for photocopying the issue at their Centre (minimum number of copies necessary), and for binding and distribution. Recipients will include the authors' mailing list, as well as all IEO Oceanographic Centres.
